And yes, NP here, but I do live in DC. I never wear a mask in stores or other locations now and no one ever says a word to me. I think most people are over it, whether or not they continue to mask to appease the crazies or not.

Of course they don’t say anything. They think you are one of those people who refuse to wear a mask even when a business explicitly asks their customers to do so. They aren’t paid enough to risk being abused by the crazies.

Are you not a native English speaker? Highly recommended and required are not the same thing. This is the exact same as the mandate repeal announcement several weeks ago pre omicron. It's still required a few places, and private businesses can make their own rules.

Are you not a native English speaker? Highly recommended and required are not the same thing. This is the exact same as the mandate repeal announcement several weeks ago pre omicron. It's still required a few places, and private businesses can make their own rules.

Still a should, not a broad mandate outside of health, transit, congregate, or any business that chooses to require it, per the 4pm update. Same as it has been. Businesses that choose not to require them still don’t have to anymore, like the gyms.
