My head hurts from the stupidity. Latin is a language. For the love of everything holy. Latin are not a people.

|
Pray tell, what is the "Latin style" soccer the OP was referring to? |
Please explain how Xuxa, a Brazilian, was able to obtain Italian citizenship in 2013? |
Agree that Latin is a language. Not a style of soccer. On to the next topic |
Please explain how Messi, an Argentine, was able to obtain Spanish citizenship in 2005? |
|
Why the US (men and women) won most of the Olympics and World basketball championships?
|
Soccer is the #1 sport in the entire world. Basketball not so much. |
|
I think OP is trying to say that South American and even Central American countries and Mexico are pretty good at soccer. I don't think there's anything special about 'their stye', but a huge number of people practicing the game summer and winter. I don't see them skiing and skating as often as I'd like to see.
If any, they should be even better because it's not like they are doing all other sport when compared to Asian countries, US, Canada, Europe, or Australian. |
|
OP, you're dumb. Just dumb.
Whoever posted that map, you're also dumb. It leaves out Romania, which is just as "Latin" as Mexico, apparently. The "Messi got Spanish citizenship so that PROVES a Latin commonality" ??? Beyond dumb. Show up to a country with that kind of talent and stay there long enough, you'll get a passport too. There is particular style of football common to countries that speak Romance languages. If you watch Italy play Spain and think that they're the same, what can I say? You're dumb. |
| **There is *no* particular style of football |
|
Pope Francis, an Argentine when traveling in France, Spain, Portugal or Italy it is no different than him traveling in Argentina. It is another day at the office for him because those are his fellow Latin people. |
Messi has Spanish ancestry. The Spanish are Latin people. Messi is the #1 soccer player in the world. I am by no means a fan of his though. |

The winner of the FIFA Player of the Century award went to an Argentine and a Brazilian and not to a European. |

Google is your friend. All this power at your fingertips and people are still to lazy
Lionel Messi has dual citizenship, one of which is for Spain. He received his Spanish citizenship in 2005, as a result of the fact that the team could only contain three non-Spanish players. |
