I like adding torn up basil leaves to my salads sometimes. Also sliced green onion. They make the “base” ie the greens part of the salad a lot tastier to me than just lettuce.

Agreed. I don’t understand the American obsession with making everything sweet. Especially salads and salad dressings.

+1. It can be tasty but I think the best dressings are just an acid like lemon juice or vinegar, good olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Maybe herbs if you are feeling fancy.

Tasty greens. Fresh herbs.

This - I just did spring mix, peach, blueberry, glazed almonds, goat cheese, very thinly sliced red onion, with honey balsamic.

Add berries - strawberries, blueberries, . Or clementine slices.

I love the sweet zip it adds

Personally, I really like the taste of bitter greens and get tired for lettuce. I like to experiment with all types of blanched greens, such as kale.

I cannot wait for summer tomatoes to ripen.

Also, bacon makes any salad tasty.

Try some new lettuces. I am in love with baby butter reds.
Change out your dressings - have you tried a Japanese miso/carrot dressing? How about adding some minced shallots in a dijon dressing?
Change up your protein - boiled egg, chopped chicken, bacon, chickpeas, steak, etc.
Change up your crunchy - pepitas, sunflower seeds, roasted chickpeas, parmesan crips, tortilla chips
Also, if you normally have large lettuce pieces, try chopping it up smaller.

Me too! A recent fave is arugula, basil, avocado, nectarine, goat cheese or mozzarella, cracked pepper. Drizzled with fancy olive oil and great champagne vinegar
