| I love the name Susan! Go for it! |
| OP Susan was a name before the 1950's 1960's resurgence. It's the name of one of the main characters in Swallows and Amazons. The first book in the series was written in 1929. Susan B. Anthony was born in 1820. |
Out of this list, I only like Susan, Mary and Julie. |
I think that’s why it fits the great-grandmother rule for parents selecting baby names mid-century. My mom was a late war baby and HER great-grandmother was born in the 1820s. |
Sally and Penny are nicknames. I know kids named: Nancy, Jessica, Mary, Alice, Ellen and Susana/Susy. Name your kid what you want! I never thought anything but “wow, that’s unusual for a kid these days” but that’s it. They’re all perfectly good names, they just don’t happen to be trendy right now. |
| I know a Sally and a June. Super cute. |
| I have a niece named Nancy, which I love! |
So cute. |
| I have a June and know a few other young Janes and Junes. |
| Maybe a different variation or something similar like Suzanne, Suzana. I like the nick name Sukie. |
| I think Susan aounds nice and Susie as a nickname sounds really fresh and pretty. You will be like someone who chose Emma in 1995-ahead of the curve. |
I love that name! |
No one is saying it wasn’t a name before the 1950s! |
My name is Sally and it is not a nickname. |
+1. And I love Susie as a nickname. |
