Virginia Public College Tier List

I would put VT Engineering on par with UVA and W&M overall.

I would put GMU with CNU, UMW, etc, except for Computer Science, and then it’s with JMU and Tech.

Don’t know enough about Virginia State, etc

Except that OP said based on overall school and not specific majors or programs. But knew a Hokie would fly the VT Engineering flag. Living up to the insecure stereotype. You're good enough, you're smart enough, and, gosh darn it, VT Engineering doesn't have the same 70% acceptance rate as the rest of VT.

INP, t's only racist if you include privates and place Liberty higher than any than the HBCUs.

I think Tech deserves its own tier between S and A

Virginia State is the same tier as Virginia Tech, they are both the land grant research universities of Virginia.

It's not the placement of UVA that makes it "racist."
Virginia State and Norfolk State are the only schools at the bottom of OP's "tier" and are also the only historically black universities. I can see why that would be interpreted as racist.
