So already a 5% drop... |
Interesting. We are also a family who left APS for private and have not had any outreach from APS or our school's administration. We are staying in private for at least one more year, TBD after that. |
We're doing private K this year (at our existing preschool) but we will be enrolling in 1st grade in APS. |
We withdrew from McKinley last summer to switch to private. Love it so we are staying! School contacted us last week to ask if we will return. |
How do all you people suddenly have $50-100k for private? |
Many privates are not that expensive. We pay $15k/kid. |
We left McK too and will never go back to APS I haven't been contacted. I have a feeling the response on my reason for leaving was crystal clear so no need to contact me. ![]() ![]() |
Did you all go to Catholic or a different private? |
So you went parochial? |
Small independent private. |
Smaller independent school |
We went private and I got calls today and yesterday. We are early in the alphabet. I think they are working their way thru a list. |
The small independent privates are 15-20K. A Catholic school is about 5-6K a kid. Most parents can afford Catholic in this area even if it is some lifestyle changes (i.e. not eating out or picking up coffees, etc) |
What are the small independent schools that are accessible to Arlington? |
