Elrich, Blair, Reimer, Rice, just to name a few. I don't like any of them, but think Blair would be the least bad.
I don't think that the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Mafia can save Elrich this time around. |
NP. I’m sort of with you. I like the defiant cut of his jib and to me (maybe you, too), it’s the faux progressives that I like to stick it to, those that have mastered the art of virtue signaling and nothing more; they show themselves as NIMBYs and such when it comes to implementing true progressivism. That Elrich makes them squirm and uncomfortable makes me love him even more. |
| I wanted Rose Krasnow to win. She had so much experience and was a moderate. |
| I hope Blair runs again. Reimer would be only a very slight improvement over Elrich. |
He's just like Trump. Except on the left. He listens to his little coterie of uber liberal friends and the unions, who kiss up to him. And nobody else. And he feels he has more to accomplish. He has been an utter disaster with managing County funds during COVID. A complete disaster. Stuff most of the public is not aware of. Blair is the best to beat him, and I'm not even a Blair fan. |
I wish Elrich was as far left as people say he is. He loves NIMBYs and cops. Just because someone smoked a lot of weed in the 60s and protested Vietnam does not mean he’s a leftist. What a joke. He’s a hack like all the rest of them. I might vote Elrich only to piss people like you off but I’ll probably just not vote. |
This is why term limits can be bad, |
+1 He’s not progressive on housing at all. |
+1. I know many people are doing this Elrich didn’t win by much in the primary with way too many candidates. |

Everyone should know that it is very easy to change your party registration ONLINE. You can do this each year if you want depending on the upcoming primary and where you want your voice to be heard. Obviously party registration makes no difference in general election. Therefore in a year when there is an important MOCO race to be decided, make sure to change your registration from independent or republican to democrat in time for the primary. You can change it back whenever you want, as often as you want, and all perfectly legal.
If 77 more people had done this the last time around, Blair would have navigated us through this Covid mess instead of Elrich making it worse. |
He doesn't like cops. He has been anti-police forever. Look at some of his comments when he was on the council. What he DOES like is the adulation he gets from the unions. Including the FOP. Because he sees himself as a pro-union, anti-establishment guy. |
I don't know who you think Elrich is but he hates the police. Actively he hates them. Always has. Even before it was a popular thing to do. |
Then why did he a) get endorsed by the FOP b) Brag about the endorsement c) Give Marcus Jones an award for the Human Rights Hall of Fame? |
\ Elrich is anti Police pro Union. FOP is a Union. Marcus Jones does whatever Elrich wants and was his third (possibly fourth) choice for Chief. |

In 2016, I switched from D to R to vote against Trump in the primary.
Now, I just switched from R to D to vote for Blair (hopefully) or whoever has the best shot against Elrich |
