I used to like Taylor Swift, but now I find her annoying.

Same and I’m the same age. Her music with Bon Iver, so good!

Same. I can’t get enough of them. Folklore was my late-summer anthem, and Folklore has wrapped me like a warm blanket this winter. The lyrics are so thoughtful and the music calming and energizing at the same time.

I enjoy her recent albums and I’m 47 years old. Never listened to her earlier music but became more aware of her songs when Ryan Adams covered her album 1989. It prompted me to Swift’s original version - I’ve listening to and enjoying her music ever since. She’s a great pop song writer.

Well, I came to appreciate 1989 and every album thereafter, and I’m completely obsessed with Folklore and Evermore. I’m a true fan and I can no longer deny her extraordinary talent.

Same. She is much more talented than I previously thought.

I agree. You know, you always hear that exceptionally brilliant people are socially awkward and have trouble fitting in. I always wonder if that's part of what's going on with some of her off-putting interviews.

I'd rather have my daughters listen to and or admire Swift than filthy skanks like the Jenners, Kardashians, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande.

Yes, I have an opinion on her hairstyle. I'm sorry that it bothers you that you can't control that.

My daughter is a fan of Ariana Grande. In what way is she a filthy skank?

Um... look at the drug addicts she dates and listen to her lyrics and watch her music videos??

She’s been taking the pandemic seriously and is doing all of her own styling and hair. I’m a big fan but agree that her hair isn’t great lately. But my hair isn’t great either. Doesn’t affect my enjoyment of her music.

The Britney documentary and thinking of all the talented women from that generation who were really destroyed by fame and the media (lindsay lohan, amanda bynes, etc) make me appreciate Taylor even more. She had the benefit of learning from Britney and also a great support system and managed to keep her head straight despite being, arguably, the most famous pop musician of her generation. Yes, she sometimes comes off as superficial and her image is carefully constructed. She has to be, look at what happened to the women who came before her who weren’t so tightly controlled.

Yeah, I was going to ask that, too. Arianna is talented, no need to name call.

Maybe you need to adjust your equalizer so you can't hear them.

Yeah. Really not a good look to attempt to prop up Taylor by using gross language / childish insults towards other artists.

I think Folklore and Evermore are fantastic. I wish I enjoyed her voice more. It’s good, no doubt about it, but always strikes me as a little one-note. I get bored by it.

Says someone who almost certainly hasn’t listened to any of her new albums.

DP. Agree with the PP you were quoting and I "certainly" have listened to her albums, though they were difficult to get through. People can listen to your hero and still not care for her albums.
