Let me tell you, I grew up in that are. They will find that cop and he will not be on the force for much longer.

Re: the commercial - Why doesn’t the woke posse go after him for appropriating a fake blue collar country Woody Guthrie persona? And, who thought it was a good idea for the old privileged white guy to lecture us on reuniting the country? He’s shilling for Jeep, yet his otherwise woke fans still worship him as the working class savior. So weird.

Oh, please stop. He has working class roots and worked hard to build the life he has. Unlike our former White House dweller, who had everything handed to him and pretends to be a friend of the working man while instead giving tax breaks to the rich.

This is what I’m talking about.

Why bring Trump into it? Weird.

I’m a bleeding heart liberal with a day job that falls under the SJW umbrella. And, I sat in the second row at a Springsteen concert. I actually like his old music (although my NJ husband loves it more).

I just think it’s funny how old white people anointed him as some hero. He’s not. His fake country boy Schtick is no different from Madonna’s fake British accent. It’s a persona created for marketing purposes.

He’s literally schilling himself for Jeep, yet you people continue to worship him as a purist musician who fights the system for the working man. It’s funny.

I think a good lawyer will get him out of this. One shot is not a DUI. He's way under the limit. It's gross that anyone would even think this is reckless.

Back in the 80's I was a musical purist and bitched about musicians doing car commercials. Then I grew up.

Also, his dad was a bus driver and his mom was a legal secretary. How can you argue that he doesn't have working class roots?

Is he not allowed to advocate for the working man just because he achieved success in his career path?

Some women here can't understand why someone with money wouldn't adopt some faux WASPy "lady of the manor" act. Some think everyone has the same class anxiety that they do.

It's a National Park patrolled by the Park Police. No local jurisdiction. This guy's job will be fine.

And somehow now he’s a cowboy from middle America ;0)

Bus driver = union job
Legal secretary = good salary

He was solidly middle class, likely UMC.

There’s no need for an affected accent. That’s an act.

And, perhaps most importantly: what exactly has he done for the working class aside from appropriate a persona to sell records to them?

This sums it up.

Who cares? He’s a musician. He writes great music and has played with top-notch people.

It’s not like Michael Jackson, who was a pedophile.

He literally acknowledges his fraud, yet his fans still believe it’s all real. Hilarious!

So, we quickly went from, “But he’s a working class hero” to “at least he’s not a pedophile.”

Perhaps that sums it up.

So Jeep pulls his sponsorship. This is bs. He’s done so much good for people and raised awareness on a number of issues. He should be given another chance. We all make mistakes.

I think Jeep pulled the ad for other reasons. There’s a Boston Globe article about how the ad managed to infuriate both liberals and conservatives.

Since when is witnessing an alleged ‘shot’ probable cause to pull over? And don’t you need to fail a field test to be forced to blow or get blood drawn? Then it comes out at 0.02! If he was really drunk, so be it but this sounds crazy.

...or is the 0.02 unsubstantiated by his PR team?
