Bruce Springsteen arrested for DUI after 1 shot of tequila(.02 BAC)

This is such a weird debate about his parents' income. I think everyone can agree he was neither super poor nor rich growing up.

Also, wasn't his dad famously an alcoholic with mental health issues? I am sure he was not consistntly employed. Especially if his mom worked -- very few white women worked in the 1950s if they had kids and their husbands were able to hold down a decent job (unless it was mom and pop type business where the whole family pitched in). If she was working as a legal secretary with three kids, its because she really needed that income.

Uhhhhh... he had an EMPTY fifth of Patron tequila with him?????

Mr. Springsteen told the officer that he was planning to drive out of the park and said that he had two shots of tequila in 20 minutes, according to the statement, which also said that the 750 milliliter bottle of Patrón tequila was completely empty.

“Springsteen smelt strongly of alcohol coming off his person and had glassy eyes,” the statement said. “Springsteen was visibly swaying back and forth while I observed his eyes.”

There are approximately 17 1.5-ounce shots in a 750ml bottle ("fifth") of liquor.

Cause cops never lie, right? I’d trust the BAL over this description.

Cops do lie. But a cop walking a beat lied about finding a fifth of tequila or did the park cop pull the empty Patron bottle out of their cargo shorts?

Nobody is walking a beat in Sandy Hook State Park in November.

While I don’t think “gross” is the word that applies here, it was wrong and inappropriate to think his actions were reckless.

I work in that industry, they do. Average $35/hour. Most runs have 8-10 hours of overtime built into the run each week.

$35x40 = 1400/week regular pay
8 hours of OT each week = 8 hours at $52.50 =420/week
$1400 + $420 =1820
$1820x 52 94,640

add in 4 weeks vacation 3 personal days, sick leave, healthcare and retirement.

Thanks. I always heard they made around 150k

New Jersey is not a low cost of living area. Despite being kind of crappy it is consistently top ten in the highest cost of living states. I grew up there and where he lived is also definitely not an UMC area and is really only a tier above living someplace like Newark.

Umm where did you come up with NJ? My inlaws don't live there. But I'd assume their bus drivers make a lot more.

Umm, because Springsteen has lived his entire life in New Jersey?

What does that have to do with anything?

?

Aren’t we talking about his childhood? Also I’m PP and I don’t want to say where but I’m from central NJ. He is not from a desirable area.

Where's the mugshot?

Is the 0.02 BAC a fake leak by his handlers because this is about to be tossed and sealed? Or once he got to the station were the police brass like WHAT THE F*CK rookie you arrested The Boss and then wrote down a b.s. low BAC?

Because this story isn't adding up. You don't fail a sobriety test, get caught with a fifth of booze, then blow a 0.02. And the "did a shot with a fan" is obviously fake news.

The bus driver debate is mindboggling. On what planet is that UMC?

I think the debate was working class vs middle class. Working class = lower class but above food stamps.

Charges were dropped because his BAC was under the legal limit and he has no prior criminal record and a clean driving record.

Appropriate. This was an overzealous cop who probably is a Trump supporter overstepping.

Mr. state trooper, please don’t stop me...
