She was already fed Sherlock and was 2 hrs late for her dinner. Locked in a huge LUXURY closet and like I said the worst thing that could’ve happened is she peed in there. Fyi my cats don’t drink much water because they’re also on a luxury raw food diet I provide which contains 50% water. Google it.

NP. I was with you until this post. No need for the attitude to PP. S/he was more concerned about your cat than you were.

This exactly. You sound like a peach.

Why did it take so little to make you become nasty, OP? You sound strange.

Because I know people are thinking closet, like real closet, dark and small. Think Kim kardashian closet here.

This is a deeply weird thread.

I am glad not to be your cat, or your spouse.

It doesn't matter how big the closet is. If it doesn't have the things the cat needs, it's a problem.
I hope your cat finds a new home.

What the cat “needs”. The only thing missing is a litter box which would’ve been my problem not the cats.

You must understand that this is a closet humblebrag post and needs to be moved to Home Improvement.

OP has hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of valuables in her Kardashian closet, people! She needs the deadbolt, cat be d@mned!

The husband is just another frivolous expenditure, since he doesn't work, right, OP? Do you spend more on his keep than the cat's? Does he get luxury raw food as well? Do you provide sufficient enrichment such as golf? Because otherwise he's going to end up just like the cat in that closet...

It doesn't matter how big the closet is. If the cat was continually meowing, it's because the cat was in some degree of distress from being trapped in the closet.

How do you accidentally lock a deadbolt that requires a key?

And OP is calling the husband dramatic?

Because the cat has decided to start sneaking in and finding a spot to nap while I was getting ready for work. This is something new so I didn’t think I needed to check before I locked the French door. Of course now I know I need to start checking for cats! Ive had a house broken into in my life and it’s very traumatic losing family valuables that are irreplaceable. My DH doesn’t think the same way and leaves his valuables laying around. His attitude is no big deal I’ll just file an insurance claim. It was a total mishap on my part but he was acting like I did it on purpose and sent me a few expletive texts in the midsts of an extremely hectic work day. My office is just 10 mts away and I told him to come grab my key but he decided he’d rather just make me feel horrible instead. To top it off my boss came in and was hovering over me which had me even more stressed plus I had to stay a hr late. If my boss wasn’t there I would’ve stopped answering the phones and hightailed it home at our closing time.

Yes you're right about this ! The meowing was what was driving him nuts I’m sure. But he doesn’t work when he gets home and barely works at all for that matter. But our home is very large. He could’ve gone into the family room and never heard a thing .

Wow, you just become more obnoxious with every post OP. And by the way, I’m with your DH, if the cat was meowing that much it was clearly unhappy.

Depends on how many hours. 2,3, even 5 OKs. Over 8 probably not so great.
But, yeah, if it was a few hours you married a drama, can't think straight(for a few minutes person)!
Some men are like that. DH and I bought a mini freezer yesterday, and we have a small car. 5cubic feet. I told him we have to take off the cardboard box because it will never fit with it.
He spent 15 minutes trying to shove it in with the box! I mean, it was clear to anyone it will not fit!
He has some obsession with showing us his great "skill!!" with making it happen against the odds! Then he did exhibit great thinking skills when we had trouble fitting it unwrapped in. Honestly, they way he got it I never would have thought you could because the freezer was still pretty big.
So not sure why his reasoning skills were lacking for a period of time, and then he was all thinking great and fit the thing in!
