| I’m disturbed that a Dartmouth student seems to know no synonyms for the word “disturbed.” |
|
True at any school, bc they are trying to preserve their rep:

| There was a thread here two months ago, with stories similar to that posted by op. |
| Just asked my senior what the word is about Dartmouth, she said "the date rape school where they haze you to death." |
| Oh no, they’ve got some really great programs. It sounds like it’s a toxic social environment. Toss in the isolation factor and it sounds even less pleasant. |
| Something tells me isolated little old fratty Dartmouth will be just fine. "I'm disturbed" some random insignificant senior views it as "the date rape school where they haze you to death." Yawn |
Dartmouth is about 40 years past its prime. Yawn. |

I am used to seeing Indian-American faces in pictures celebrating great academic or scholastic achievements. Shocking to see it in the group of women who got raped by their Ivy League professors. Only sad that no real justice has been served with the professors resigning.

Why do I think this is written by a male. Who probably also wishes we could go back to how America was in the 1950’s. |
| Well played, pp. If you can’t argue, attack. |
As it’s reputation gets around, it will probably get worse. Because people who are turned off by this caveman , entitled, misogynistic environment will choose elsewhere. I have NO idea what type of parent would pay one dime to send their daughter there. |

So many rapists are being triggered by this thread!
|
Oh trust me, they're even worse in real life. |
By which I mean, rape/sexual assault apologists. |
| Dartmouth has a deeply ingrained culture of misogyny, classism and both veiled and explicit racism. They've had this reputation for decades and decades. The reason why this culture will not change any time soon is because the most influential alumni (who also tend to remain highly involved in the wider Dartmouth community) are the very people who reveled and partook in that same culture, and will stop at nothing to see it remain alive and well. |
