I am not making other kids' lives worse. I am making my kid's life better as much as I can, at no expense of others. The article is eyeroll inducing to the max. |
OP here: we do this too, but it's not enough. Not enough time being outside, and not enough socialization that is not structured. |
Yes, so now you have to parent your child from 9-4 instead of free child care. That is parenting. |
I agree with you. Just wanted to make a couple of suggestions. |
Take your kid out for a walk or bike ride or hike or even a drive. Spend time with them. I don't get all the complaining. Mine don't have much down time between school. activities (mainly online) and socializing via chat and online gaming. |
The planes are flying, the tickets are sold, the airports are open. The rest is just another mind game disregarding mental health of many people. The pandemic is driven by people living in multigenerational housing, socializing in huge groups inside, etc. Not a family of 2 flying to see a family of 4 after getting tested and quarantining. |
thank you! |
Oh I do that already. It's not enough. I am not a substitute for his peers. |
Huh? |
I have to supervise, and regularly engage in, schooling from 9-4- that’s called teaching |
People like you are the reason there are so many mental health related problems since the pandemic began, including deaths. |
Thank you so much! All the best to you as well. Maybe more people will start thinking critically instead of just going along with the official line of thought. |
Then, find different activities. Ours are very social. |
That’s not what my pediatrician thinks. She said there’s a massive uptick in juvenile mental health issues. And she told me this with no prompting (my kids are in private school with in person instruction). |
How am I a troll? What I am saying is that no one cares about your mental health. You have to sometimes take some risks in the name of balance. It was ok to not socialize for a month, but not for a year. |
