| Yes. I look at people differently when they have more than they can handle with 2, and then continue to have more. I also look at them differently when they don't supervise them when the toddlers are playing in the neighborhood and don't spend any time with the kids they have only to have more. |
| I never thought about it until these boards either. A few months ago one woman remarked we shouldn't focus so much on whatever an "ideal family composition" may be, and just focus on making whatever family we've got the best and happiest it can be. I thought that was really wise. |
You = asshat. |
What is an asshat? I agree with the PP. If a couple has more than 2-3 kids, they remind me of rats and cockroaches. |
I don't think 3 is gross, just foolish (or unlucky!) 3= outnumbered. |
What if the family handles three well? Or do you assume that outnumbered = outmaneuvered? |
| this is shocking |
ironically, while we have 3 kids 3 and under we most definitely are infertile or at least fertility challenged. We've done IVF for each pregnancy after TTC naturally for 1-2 years each time. So appearances can be very deceiving! |

1 child
- I've always wanted just one child, so I could focus all my attention and my money on him/her. -I got lucky enough to be pregnant once, but unfortunately it never happened for me again. -I am trying for a second -I had a child with a father I am no longer involved with and I haven't founded anyone else to start another family with -I can't get pregnant and I decided to adopt a child, but haven't adopted a second yet. -I never wanted children and my pregnancy was an "accident". Now I'm careful. -My husband and I can only really afford one child. - I was an only child and I loved it! I want this for my child. I had another child(ren), who passed away. -I waited too long and by the time I got around to having children, I figured 1 was enough for me. 2 children - I've always wanted just two children, so I could focus all my attention and my money on them. -I wanted a boy and a girl. -I had twins and don't know if I can or want to get pregnant again. -I got lucky enough to be pregnant twice (or once with twins), but unfortunately it never happened for me again. -I am trying for a third -I had two children with a father I am no longer involved with and I haven't founded anyone else to start another family with. -I can't get pregnant and I decided to adopt two children, but haven't adopted a third yet or don't want a third. -I never wanted children and my pregnancy/pregnancies were "accidents". Now I'm careful. -My husband and I can only really afford two kids. - I had one brother/sister and I loved it! I want this for my child. -I had another child(ren), who passed away. -I waited too long and by the time I got around to having children, I figured 2 was enough for me. And so on... |

17:23 sounds sane. There are an infinite number of reasons a family composition may be what it is. Unless you know for certain the "why" behind the family size, even guessing at what it says about the family is pretty asinine.
The "rats and cockroaches" posters...you sound like one of the aforementioned plagues. |
| what about 14 kids not having a job? Does that say anything you asinine idiot. How about 19 kids and saying "maybe we'll have more"? Is that asinine also? Yes, THAT is asinine. Which plague are you referring to? |
You math does make sense, |
FU. |
I think it makes sense: IVF for baby #1, wait two years then IVF for pregnancy #2 and it was twins. Maybe there was an earlier one that didn't make it. |
At least we can take comfort in the fact that this poster is only saddling the world with one copy of her DNA! |
