it's not as if youre trying to apply to a BIG 3 , im sure youll figure it out OP

PP - why the need to post something like that response. I am sure OP recognizes none of the three schools asked about in this thread are the proverbial BIG 3, As you are likely aware also. That was not his/her question. The parochial schools are run by the Pastor and reflect the parish and so there can be some variances in the schools.

To the obnoxious BIg 3 poster:

How many days have the three ADW schools been open this year vs The big 3??

Oh - and OP never asked about those.

Thanks. I want to send my kid to an ADW school for multiple reasons. Not that it really matters, but for what its worth -- her father went to a Big 3 school and its not the end all be all of education.

LFS: hope you’re ok with the casual racism and Republican dogma. Some really great families and some really horrible ones. So glad we left.

We’re a new family at LF and have been extremely pleased with the education and inclusiveness. It was certainly the right move for DC. For what it’s worth, DH and I are Ds and our political affiliation hasn’t come up. Being a Catholic school I assume the parents tilt more R.

This Is upsetting - causal racism? Can you give examples? I never heard this.

There is no Dem dogma. That is correct. The integration of education and Christian beliefs is intentional. Best of luck with your child’s new school.

OP - one of the best things about Catholic schools is that you will encounter both Rs and Ds that find more in common with each other than differences. That being said, diversity varies as one would expect as the parish diversity varies and all schools prioritize their parish children.

Did you leave for your local public?

Slightly off topic - anyone have a DC at an ADW school that they’re not a parishioner of?

LF family and agree. Have been there for years w no politics and def no racism (??). I just know they have a full pre-K class plus record high demand so slots will go to rising kids first and then very little if any openings remain. I know they had record waitlists this year and can reasonably expect the same next year. Being an active parishioner tho should give you top priority after rising kids and siblings.

Yes but we nabbed an opening years ago. Now we wouldn’t stand a chance.
