| Les Mis is one of my favorite novels and favorite musicals. That said, Cosette has so much sadness in her life that it’s hard not to associate the name with the character. True she overcomes a lot of her past, but I don’t view her as one of the main heroes of the story. |

I love this response so much. |
This is too funny and spot on. I think most people don’t know the musical, but I would be worried about the poor kid having her named misspelled and mispronounced her whole life. |
Nailed it! |
This. |
| My favorite musical of all time, and a beautiful name! |
| Everyone is going to think of the musical. Everyone. |
| The musical is 35 years old but also still really well known. It will annoy her throughout her life. |
| Spare the child. Colette is a beautiful name. |
Was just going to post this. Go with Colette or Camille. |

Lisette.
Or Miranda. That's my daughter and my former cat. Not that familiar with Sex and the City-- saw it only 2x. I associate it with John Stewart/Stevie Nicks: "Come on down, Miranda, Your window's open wide Take a chance on midnight dance So I can see it in your eyes..." Or, name your kid Apple or North. |

I love you |

It’s just such a mouthful and not easy to pronounce. It’s...clumsy.
And everyone will think of the musical. Every one. |
