Oh! Thank you so much for this tip! |

I never skip a day of foam rolling. It hurt like hell when I first started, but now there is no pain. I run 6 days a week and feel like the foam roller helps keep me pain free.
Someone recommended the Amazon Basics foam roller, but that is too soft for me. I prefer one like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006GUC9KC/ref=sspa_mw_detail_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&pd_rd_i=B006GUC9KCp13NParams |
| When my muscles get that tight, I usually need to go to a good massage therapist 2-3 times before the pain is gone. |
| It band gets way easier when you do it regularly. The first time I did it I wanted to cry. I got up to the point I was doing a push up while using it on my IT band. I’ve gotten off track though, thanks for reminding me to roll today |
| Any non-Peloton recs to get into a better habit and routine? I am not knowledgeable enough to just make it up as I go. Free, Prime, Netflix, you tube, website, etc? |
| Matt Wilpers has two 10 minutes foam rolling videos that hurt so good. I've done them each a dozen times |
| Foam roller newbie. What does foam rolling do? When I looked it up it said it helped with a variety of things. But is it a workout?? |

The softer rollers are better for actual relief. The firmer ones are more mentally satisfying, but can cause the muscle cells to tense up in response to the discomfort. Less pain/more gain with MFR.
