You can only fool people so long.

Even the Orange man wrote that in his book in 1987. Seems he forgot it himself.

Most of what you see, hear, and read in the social media circle is anything but reality. This nation has trouble with reality, for people who seem to find "reality" so popular on TV.

I feel as though Ivanka just piped up "And it's all very male-dominated"

Oh, you. Be best!

Most of these influencers are fairly vapid and extremely extroverted, so not surprised they are melting down into a hot mess during difficult times.

I understand the vapid part - I definitely don’t understand what you are insinuating about extroverts. The ones I know are doing fine, much better than most introverts I know.

That is not the case in my life.

A lot of the extroverts I know are having issues or have given up on any social distancing at all because they just couldn't take it. I'm calling to check on one of my long term extroverted friends much much more because their mental health seems to be taking a hit, even with the availability of phone, texting, social media etc... It seems if they don't get out and closely interact with others every day they can't take it. I understand, mainly because I'm the complete opposite.

The social influencers would not be posting every minute of their lives and monetizing their family if they weren't somewhat extroverted, plus starving for attention on top of that.

Coronavirus became the great equalizer for a while. We ALL were home. We ALL we adjusting to a new normal.

It seemed and seems tone deaf to somehow set yourself apart in your social media posts and most of the mommy blogger types banked on their “cute chaos” and “delightfully imperfect” lives. They are all so vapid.

I've been waiting for the Stephanie Nielson family to explode for years. She's got FIVE kids. Surely one will rebel and come out as gay, or go to college, or stop being Mormon.

They also just sold the property they bought in NC and were going to build yet another dream house. She hasn't addressed that yet, but it's in public property records.

I posted earlier and should've thrown Ballerina Farm in there. They're ridiculous and are neglecting their kids' safety and education.

I take great pleasure in saying I don’t know any of these so-called influencers, and don’t care one bit.

Why on earth are they called "influencers"?

The Hollis duo who made a fortune selling their marriage with 4 kids, one of who is adopted....are divorcing.

The Gardner quad couple who made lots of money selling a beautiful Jesus loving family life with 4 girls are imploding because the father allegedly texted with underaged fangirls even late into the night and early morning in creepy, but likely not illegal ways. There are other allegations about him looking for love elsewhere.

Any other social media frauds that have gone bust since soicial distancing began?

Is any of this a surprise. Things were falling apart for most of them before the quarantine. The Staffer's gave the kid away before. I think people are trying to find new ways of making money and people are doing more digging into their lives as they are bored. Most of what you see on tv and social media is fake.

I just don't get how so many young women -- non models -- can appear to do nothing but take pictures in dresses and bikinis in new exotics places all year. There are 1000s of girls in my daughter's instagram who I've never heard of who appear to do nothing all day, yet live like idle rich millionaires. It never made sense to me. It seems like a fake career. Like unemployed people calling themselves "freelancers" or "independent consultant" ... these bimbos are pretending to be employed as "influencers"?

What is that annoying g travelling family called? I forget their name. I think they have two or three kids? Anyway. I hope I see less of them. But since I forgot their names, hopefully they’re going away soon. They’re so smug and obnoxious.
