Wedding guest dress

Yeah, I gotta agree, first one is horrible. Second one is pretty, but more of a summer dress, not fall.

I think they are both hideous.

But let’s get real. How far upstate and which fall month?

As others have asked, time of day?

^^Oh wait, it's for fall? Never mind. I was going off the first two links presented.

About an hour from NYC upstate.

Ceremony during the day, reception at 5 to follow.
October.

There's not too much point in looking until late August/early September. Everything that is out now is for summer.

Ignore them OP. I used to be a big Anthropologie fan, but it's been hit or miss for years. Sometimes you can find a hidden gem. I went through all of the cocktail dresses. You picked the best of the worst.

The second one is sweet, but not for a fall wedding unless it's in a warm region. First one is nice, though I'd avoid skin peaking thru lace. Here's the other version by same designer. It's more subtle.

I'm 5'4 108 lbs and proportionate. I'll look elsewhere and link. I love doing this!

Upstate in October will have a chance of temps in the 70s, but may also have temps in the 50s.

Peak leaves may be around Columbus Day or later, which means nights get cool.

I’d definitely be looking for a fall color (not pastels) or something festive (gold, silver, platinum).

The first dress is horribly ugly. It looks like a 7th grade boy's home ec final project where the night before it was due his mother was like "Let me see if I can fix it for you."

The second dress is fine but so damn boring that I wouldn't spend more than $60 on it - no need to waste $450 or whatever ridiculous amount it cost.

I like the first dress, it's unusual!

Do make sure to pick a color that fits your skin tone, though.

Maybe this?

The dress is pretty but I think a bit too plain for a wedding?

Thank you so much!
I am 5’5 and 115
I think I am on a cooler color palette, more like Kate Middleton.

Could be. May let accessories shine and likely useful after the wedding. Might be good to know more about your style (classic, minimalist, boho, etc). I tend to like simple things but that may not be right for you.
