Mexico poster from earlier today. Supposed to leave end of March with my 2 elementary age kids. All inclusive resort, no side trips planned.
Nope.
What does "Nope" mean? Is it "No way would I go."? or "No need to cancel."?
It means no. Because do you want to be quarantined or hospitalize with children in Mexico.
Mexico traveler here (I was not the one who asked for clarification on “nope.”) On what basis would you assume we would end up quarantined? We aren’t coming from, or going to, a place with an outbreak.
Different poster here. My basis would be the off chance that a traveler or employee in the all inclusive resort comes down with it or symptoms of it. The whole resort could go under quarantine like the hotel on the Canary Islands where close to a 1000 people were quarantined because an Italian tourist was diagnosed with it after he got home from his trip. The hotel was quarantined even though he was no longer there because anyone there could have been exposed. Or the off chance that myself or kids got ill. I would prefer to be in the United States, not a Mexican hospital. Yes, they are off chances but in the bigger scheme of life, missing one trip is not going to be a big deal in my world.
