| It sounds like he was trying to make conversation with you. It sounds like you were a little resentful that he did not try harder to help. This sounds like a normal argument between two overworked people. I could see my DH and me in this exact same scenario. I would apologize sincerely again and help him locate his dad’s jewels. |
| Family jewels??? |
Gene Simmons? |
| My favorite was the part about the family jewels. |
| Maybe he was wanting to explore the possibility of a Christmas gift for you involving your family heirlooms. |
|
You sound a bit insane.
Maybe he is enjoying the silence if this is an example of how you normally interact with him. He likely has no idea why asking an innocent question sent you off since there was no reason. Anything he says could do the same. When someone is unpredictable, silence is a good option. |
| Did he use the words family jewels? |
IKR? This has got to be a joke. |
|
Sounds like he's fed up with you. I can't say I blame him. Hope you get served divorce papers for Christmas.
Obviously ignoring you is a childish thing. But considering how you overreact and are insane, I can't blame him for wanting to avoid you |
| If he can't do or say anything right, it is easier to do and say nothing. |
| I just want to know what these family jewels are. |
|
Yes, you apologized but from his perspective he can't really trust you. You say "go relax" and what you mean is "get you as$ over here and help with making dinner". He was so relaxed thanks to you that he started thinking about family jewels and then...boom!
Just be more straight forward next time and ask for help or order in. |
| I now need to know if you found the family jewels! |
| No kids? If there are no kids, you two should divorce. |
| as in testicles? |
