My thoughts exactly! This is good news.

Seriously OP, you have more money than sense.

Just curious why is this a "ruined" situation. Can't you try and clean it? Try getting it steam cleaned. I think its a huge jump to claim they are ruined.

does she take good care of your child? Are you happy with her work? Because that seems much more important.

Maybe it’s not ruined but hiring someone to steam clean the rug is not going to be cheap. I will call around in the AM but it’s probably at least a few hundred to get someone to come to my house to do it.

You are being ridiculous. This must be your first child.

Agree with this. I'd be bummed but not say anything.

You’re going to lose this nanny. You better get over your nonsense, OP, and let this go as your mistake.

I’d be annoyed. I’m not an idiot and I know when I’m wearing new jeans that I haven’t washed. They rub onto my car leather and all upholstery. I also have white nursery furniture. My oldest is 4 and the youngest is 18 months and they still look pristine. I did have them shampooed between my kids but they weren’t destroyed.

I would point it out to her and ask her to be more careful and wash her jeans before use.

+1

It’s not like you didn’t know baby spit up and poop stains. What did you think would happen?

+2 white furniture in a kids room?

The rug is not white - it’s a light purple that is now stained blue. The rocking chair is ivory, yes.

The good news is that your nanny is rocking the baby and getting down on the floor with her!

Seriously.

Op, your nanny is POOR. That’s why she wears crappy jeans. Pay her more.

All white furniture is stained by jeans. I don't think the nanny has any responsibility here honestly. I mean sure, ask her not to do it again, but you're the one who bought the white furniture.

I would try dabbing it with rubbing alcohol first, then maybe I would progress to diluted dish soap. Maybe professional upholstery cleaning.

The rug you could take to Ayoub in Kensington. They can probably deal with it.

Seriously though OP this is definitely not the nanny's problem.

Christopher’s is pricey but does a very good job on short notice for cleanings. It happens.

Maybe it was not her. Put a towel over it and wash the cushions.

This post made me lol because I did the exact same thing to my WHITE rocker chair I bought when my child was born.

If you have a ton of white furniture I’d maybe say something about the jeans. And don’t be pissed at your nanny. She probably had no idea.
