If you want things done your way, do it yourself. Anytime you invite outside help your inviting the chance for stained chairs and poop rugs. If my employer had white fabric desk chairs they would be accused of inviting problems. If they had a rug that couldn’t be cleaned, same issue. |
I am trying to figure out how you are going to mention it without shooting your nanny, and I can’t. How much do you like the nanny? |
*annoying. Autocorrect! |
LOL How is that autocorrect? Seems more like a Freudian slip. |
Damn girl, you are cold! At least OP can dispose of the body by rolling it up in the rug that got ruined. |
People! The furniture isn’t white, it’s ivory. All the difference in the world.
OP, take a deep breath and call Stanley Steemer to come out and take care of your (giggle) light-colored upholstery in (snort) your child’s room. Then thank your nanny for spending so much time cuddling and playing with your baby. Then put a slipcover on the rocker and a cheap rug on the floor, and call it a day. |
Not sure why you’d buy ivory anything in a kid’s room? |
If it had been yellow or pink or light blue or green, it would have been just as ruined. |
Can you afford a professional nanny? Who wouldn’t wear jeans to work? |
How do jean stain furniture? I've never had that happen. Most jeans are sold pre-washed. Maybe it was something else. |
Text her a photo and ask her what happened. If she says she doesn’t know, then suggest it’s her jeans and ask her how this can be avoided. |
Buy her a white nurse’s uniform. Actually, several.
Problem solved. |
I foolishly bought an expensive ( for me) ivory rug for family room. Child sick so was home from preschool resting on sofa — first month I had it. Threw up his orange Gatorade! Stains never came out.
My mistake. Costly. Live and learn and move on. |
Yeah we went through about three couches in a year and a half for similar reasons. |
Try folex for the rug. It works wonders.
I think it is reasonable to ask her not to wear jeans to work. Some jeans do rub off and even come with a warning. |
