Honestly though, I don’t see these homes that get redistricted from a lower-performing school into a W school getting a huge increase in value. Over time, ALL public schools in MCPS will be less than stellar (because isn’t that what the BoE is aiming for - not having such a discrepancy between high and low performing schools??).

Fortunately, you don't have to be concerned about this. When assessments increase, property taxes step up gradually. If you own property in Montgomery County, you get a letter in the mail that says exactly that, every 3 years when your property gets reassessed.

Most parents are mostly concerned with their own kids’ school. My kids attend a nonW school and I don’t really give a rat’s a$$ about the drug problem at Whitman.

Exactly. The Cabin Branch parents aren't deeply concerned about the bad condition of the Neelsville MS building. They're deeply concerned that their kids have been reassigned to a building in bad condition.

OP- I'd find people in your neighborhood who are currently going to Rocky Hill. See if you can get Life360 statistics from those willing to participate bus ride from CB to Rocky Hill. Next year have the same people provide stats from CB to Neelsville. I think though if you can provide these stats you might get the attention from the no boundaries change group to pressure the BOE to move your middle school back.
