The girls teams get the same coaches and training, and do the same tournaments, as the boys. The boys tend to perform better because they have better players, not because they are "catered" to more. maybe you should see the post above.. its clear who they cater to more. are you scared to show the link? Im sure by now Alexandria put down the link that shows projected tournaments for boys and girls I would too Somebody obviously has an agenda combined deception and technical illiteracy. You will see some people who run rival programs spread a lot of crap about futsal, especially Alexandria. Here are the links to which the PP referred, which show that he is both lying and stupid (or too lazy to click through to see that he is wrong): Here's the U16 Red girls schedule: https://alexandria-soccer.demosphere-secure.com/_f...%20ID%20Overview%202019_20.pdf Here's the U16 Red boys schedule (they've won a national championship): https://alexandria-soccer.demosphere-secure.com/_f...%20ID%20Overview%202019_20.pdf Same training schedule. Same tournaments. Same costs. Same lies from competitors. The ID sessions are over but you should feel free to contact the coach if you are interested. The league includes both ID teams, futsal teams from other clubs, and rec teams. They divide and group teams appropriately. I don't know if they allow individual player registration. |
Exactly. I pulled my daughter after conversations with the program showed me they weren't willing to put the extra effort into her development. |

What are you talking about? 2008 Girls Red events: Jefferson Open (Richmond, VA Dec 14th - 15th) America's Cup (Alexandria, VA January 3rd - 5th) State Cup (January 25th – 26th, Springfield, VA ) 2008 Boys Red team events: America's Cup (Alexandria, VA January 3rd - 5th) USYF Regional Tournament (Richmond, VA January 17th -20th) Regional Futsal Championships (Atlantic City, NJ, Feb 14 -17 |

this is actually funny

Pick up the mic...both boys and girls project the same State/Regional/National Championships based on approval by technical staff as stated, i.e., whether a particular team is competitive enough for higher level tournaments. The boys sheet just broke out these possible tournaments into the table. |
No, you are not looking it over carefully: https://alexandria-soccer.demosphere-secure.com/_files/futsal-id-program/U12%20Boys%20Futsal%20ID%20Overview%202019_20.pdf RED, WHITE, BLUE, BLACK--------------------------America's Cup (Alexandria, VA January 3rd - 5th) WHITE, BLUE, BLACK--------------------------------Jefferson Open (Richmond, VA Dec 14th - 15th) RED, WHITE, BLUE, BLACK--------------------------USYF Regional Tournament (Richmond, VA January 17th - 20th) WHITE, BLUE, BLACK--------------------------------State Cup (January 25th – 26th, Springfield, VA ) RED ONLY---------------------------------------------Regional Futsal Championships (Atlantic City, NJ, Feb 14 -th?17? )(USFF) RED ONLY TBD----------------------------------------th? th? Most Clubs cater to the level of the teams they have. I only have boys so I, of course, can't speak to gender bias. I will say---the 2008 boys are an incredibly talented group. Something was in the water that year. They have a hard time finding competition. They have been playing up age group since U8.
The Club my kids are with is very similar regarding how they approach tournament play. They will find the tournaments, leagues, etc. that are developmentally appropriate for each specific team. It won't be the same for every age group, gender, etc. It really depends on the teams. Then, you also have to get accepted into the tournaments as well. Also, they put a vote out to the parents at times to see how many and where they want to go. This is nice because some parents prefer everything local, etc. |

Maybe you all should ask someone that is actually in the program. My daughter has played Futsal ID for ASA for several years. No difference exists between the boys or girls in terms of coaches/coaching, cost, tournaments etc.
What you are seeing is someone that is not involved or informed about the program making assumptions on what they dont know. The club offers multiple levels of Futsal with different costs, different amounts of practices, different coaching options and so on. If you kid qualifies for a Futsal ID team they will play and train the most, attend the most tournament, pay the most for that experience and so on. Enough of the bashing already. A 16 year old kid is looking for a program to play in. ASA offers multiple levels and options. Its a good program bottom line. |
Exactly. Unless your futsal is very experienced then the money and time suck of the NJ tournament is actually silly to attend. |
