This is factually correct. The jail has always notified ICE. it’s just ICE can’t always respond in time. Now the county is reverting to its old policy of allowing ICE in to a secure portion of the jail for pick up. A plus for public safety overall.

And, as for them allowing ICE in the secure portions.... doesn't seem like that happened yesterday.

And .... Ice is not showing up because the County is notifying them at the last minute and let's say the agents are in Baltimore, they are given forty minutes to get there or the perv gets set free. Fixed that for you.

When someone makes bail how long can the police keep them in jail for?

Not to worry. Anyone who wants to elude the law will come to Arlington with the new Commonwealth Attorney who will not charge them with a crime. All the problems MoCo had with its sanctuary cities will be transferred to Arlington.

If their detainers had probable cause that a crime had been committed, the jail would hold them. Like they do for other jurisdictions. But they don’t. Because they are civil detainers. You can’t keep someone imprisoned without probable cause. it’s a fourth amendment violation.
