I just ate Arby’s for lunch

Shiny beef is worth falling off the wagon for every few months.

I love Arby’s. I have been losing weight and still eat fast food a few times a month. I just eat a light dinner and skip my evening snack.

Love the potato cakes!

According to their nutrition info, the roast beef sandwich is 360 calories and the small fries are 410. That's <800 calories. Don't know what your target is, but it can't be that much more.

I found junk food ok for my weight loss as long as I stay close to daily calories target
Nothing is off limit for me: pizza, chick fila, burger, fries, chocolates, dessert etc , I log it and eat less the rest of the day or the next day
I was able to lose 1 pound a week for 7 month and reached my target 2 months ago

This is no big deal. Just get back on the horse and do better tomorrow. Maybe plan to have scrambled eggs and berries for breakfast.

This sounds like something Gwenyth Paltrow would recommend to eat.

Or you could just have a normal, balanced dinner and move on. No biggie.

Arby's is the best when I'm hungover. Don't sweat it and start over tomorrow!

My grandmother went through a period when she would have these sudden cravings for Arbys -- when I look back on it, she may have been going through menopause.

We'd be driving through town and she would suddenly turn and head into the drive-thru. Once it was right after we had eaten breakfast, but she still got a roast beef sandwich. Another time, she pulled in, parked, got out of the car (leaving my 6-year-old sister and 8-year-old me inside -- good times!) and came back with a sandwich for herself. Nothing for us. She was seriously focused on that roast beef.

It's what I eat when I need something on my stomach that has very few calories but eats like a meal. I would not eat this on a regular day, only if I felt that I had over consumed on calories that day and needed to eat very lightly. It's better than going to bed without any supper, lol.

Gwenyth thinks that putting cayenne pepper into a mug of hot water is a "meal".

Every day is a new day. Forgive yourself the lapse and don't beat yourself up at all. Just eat better the next day. Sometimes it is nice to have a treat. You can lose the pounds! I believe in you.

I have this problem too, with carbs at breakfast setting me up to overeat the rest of the day. Actually for me, just about any breakfast sets me up to overeat, so I've been skipping it since before it became fashionable.

BUT your lunch doesn't sound all that horrible to me diet-wise! Plenty of people think eating a salad, with high calorie toppings and dressing, is virtuous. You probably ended up with fewer calories and a good amount of protein.

I hope you had a Dr Pepper or Mr. Pibb with it.

Whenever I went to the College Park IKEA I would need to go to the Arby's down the street for some stress/comfort food! LOL

Oatmeal alone shouldn’t send you into a spiral like that. Did you have sugar, too? That would do the trick, unfortunately.

One idea is to eat plain oatmeal with a 1/4 cup of walnuts and a 1/2 tbs of chia seeds. There’s enough fiber in there to keep you full for several hours.

And don’t get discouraged! One day is only one day.
