Feeling hopeless on weight loss

Oh, I understand you. I gave birth last year and gain 20 excess kg. I am also usually fit, but we all understand that pregnancy is not the good time for strength training sessions. I immediately started to find ways how to lose it and understand that healthy food and moderate workouts would be the best solution. However I didn't know what is allowed for breastfeeding mother. Of course on the internet there a lot of info, but there are also a lot of stories with bad end. I decide to order health and workout fitness program om https://www.modernfit.com/reviews/. And it really works! I have lost even more than these 20 kg)

You could try intermittent fasting and eating few processed carbs as easy fixes. I know a lot of busy moms who don't even have time to exercise but who end up losing a good amount of weight just by doing that.

May I ask what does your diet primarily consist of?

Losing Weight Could Make You Depressed, Study Says. Woman standing on scale. Going on that diet may help you shed a few pounds, but it could also worsen your mood. I was very sad because of my poor weight loss results. fine-health.com - was my source of motivation and inspiration.

Kudos to you for kicking it in gear only 6 months after baby. I didn't try to get my act together until 1.5 years later, and am still struggling to lose the last 5, so in my eyes you're doing great. I too, am a former fit person. I think there is much to be said about how you body responds hormonally and weight loss, so be patient. I don't agree with stopping exercise. It probably helps you feel like your older self, and even though I have the extra pounds, I see fitness gains in strength and endurance much faster so that is motivating. So instead of stopping working out, turn it down a notch if you are feeling physically exhausted and it's not sustainable. But if it makes you feel great, keep it up! Try tracking your calories, and slowly decreasing them over time. Good luck!

I don't get my caloric intake and weight loss or gain either. I am like you op, most of the time. I walk over 15k steps and was watching what I eat and counting. At best I would lose 2 lbs in a week, and then one day of eating just a bit more and I gain 3lbs! Nothing makes sense. So all my effort gone, this has been going on for over a year.
I went away for 10 days, and ate like a pig, I mean I ate a whole huge bag of sour patch kids in 4 days! Huge one! I ate so much for 10 days, I thought I will be 10lbs heavier! But, nope, I only gained 2. Weight loss and gain a mystery to me. How could I gain 2,3 lbs in one day at home, and only 2 lbs with 10 days of eating non stop?

You didn’t gain 2lbs Of fat in one day. The scale is just showing normal fluctuations due to salt consumption, hormone fluctuations, hydration levels, etc. Etc. This is why most professionals discourage weighing every day.

There is no effort gone if you keep at it. 2 lbs in a week is very good and sustainable fat loss.

Water. Day to day fluctuations are all water.

Ok. But, how come I didn't gain more than 2lbs after 10 days of non stop eating? And a ton of sugar too?

You’d have to eat ~700 calories over maintenance for 10 days to gain 2 lbs of fat. That’s a lot, not impossible, but a lot.

I’ve swung 5 lbs in the course of 10 days eating normally. My hormonal cycle dictates my day-to-day weight far more than my eating does.

2 lbs a week is a lot and likely not sustainable at all.

NP Actually 2 pounds per week IS sustainable. Anything more than that is not realistic.
