Hair-raising? I just imagine you like a Cathy cartoon, tearing at your hair saying "ACK!!" |
I suspect spicy things might be available in India. And Thailand. And Brazil. And ... |
OP, you are supposed to eat spicy and/or salty food in the heat.
Sure, go light on the heavy meats. But I really don't care or.police what others eat. |
This just made me literally snort. OP does sound like this! |
You should eat some of the things on that list, it would probably help your brain function better |
Sorry you have such a sensitive system, OP. I can't eat whatever. Heat doesn't bother me that much. Went for a walk this morning, planning on a long swim later.
Loved every bite of my bagel with salmon spread this morning. |
+ 1 A nice margarita with salt on the rim, some chips and guac, and a spicy dish sounds perfect in hot weather. You’re missing out OP. |
OP is a special snowflake who worries others might be melting. It's kind of sweet.
(Not spicy, heaven forfend!) |
Meant to say CAN eat whatever. |
What are we supposed to eat? Feathers? |
I hardly ever eat chips, but now it makes total sense why I was craving jalapeno kettle chips Friday. And Saturday. And today (except now they are finished).
The spice + salt totally hit the spot! |
During this heat wave I have only been drinking room temperature tap water with a small slice of lemon. Anyone not doing this must hate themselves and the environment. Why can't you think of the children?

As a former ER nurse who saw lots of heat stroke/exhaustion,/dehydration....I can firmly say it wasn't caused by olive garden. |
But ARE YOU FAT. That is the real question. You should use smaller slices of lemon! ![]() |
I figured that out Friday after throwing up. I wish I’d seen your list before. I thought cold sandwiches would be a good, light dinner but bread, cheese, and meat don’t do an overheated body any favors. I disagree about spicy. I have friends from equatorial countries and other hot climates. Spicy foods help you sweat. |
