HEAT WAVE - why so many people eat things that make it worse.

I will quickly mention, without reference, that Iceland has a life expectancy of 82.47. Iceland is quite a ways from the Mediterranean. However, I believe that Iceland has been secretly cultivating olives in vast underground volcanic green houses. It all starts to make sense when you think about it.

It just takes them awhile to figure out that someone has passed away. They are so well preserved, you know.

So what’s everyone making for dinner?

I have some leftover pasta that I will probably not bother to heat up. I don't eat bread because it's bad for you. Pasta is fine though because it isn't bread. It just has the same ingredients. Completely different.

Probably a kale smoothie.

If your last meal on earth involves kale, then you have lost the game of life.

Signed,

God

This made me laugh really loud--thank you

Shrimp, tomato, and avocado wraps, with chilled green beans I blanched early this morning, and some cheese on the side. Can’t wait!

Yum. We’re having oven roasted chickpeas, a simple side salad, and are heating up frozen pizza. The oven isn’t on for that long, and we wanted to make one meal that works for adults and a four year old.

Dinner? I thought we were eating hot, humid air? With a side of UVA poisoning for minerals?

Also, Japan’s whipping life expectancy is because they avoid rice.

We're having bacon wrapped pork tenderloin along with roasted brussels sprouts and a garden salad.

I mean, surely you mean cauliflower pizza, with organic tomato sauce, that you made yourself and then froze? Hence your mistake of calling it frozen? And not one of those fake cauliflower pizzas with rice, only the fresh squeezed cauli flour that you bought from an organic farm?! Am I right?
Lol! We are thinking Blaze pizza, but we'll put some oregano and arugula to make it Club Med!

Hats off to those Icelanders, but no thank you for dried fish and fermented shark. I am sure it is great for longevity, but some things are not worth it. And, btw, Icelandic cuisine is very similar to Med diet.

Pesto pasta, with walnuts and fresh basil, and olive oil, and aged Reggiano. Roasted asparagus, home-pickled beets. Fresh honeydew with cracked black pepper, goat cheese, and lemon-thyme honey. White wine.
