Gaithersburg High School won't be affected?

The CIP mentions Crown HS for Gaithersburg HS, Wootton HS, Quince Orchard HS, Richard Montgomery HS, and Northwest HS.

Oops, yes! She said Gaithersburg too!

If there is to be any rezoning prior to Crown HS it would be QO areas being rezoned to Wootton, not the other way around. QO is way more overcrowded than Wootton. Same for NW.

Changes will be happening with every cluster, bucko.

The smug giddiness of the lower SES individuals in the consortiums who have their fingers crossed that the people the have made to feel inferior too all these years might get their schools messed with to the point where they are no longer above average is pathetic. They clearly don’t care for poor blacks and Hispanics other than the ability to weaponize them toward rich people.

No matter what happens you’ll still live where you live.

I feel superior to people who don't write coherent sentences.

S/he must be the same poster who goes on about folks in the DCC and our "jubilation" at Woodward reopening. Mind you, there's nothing of the kind in those posts, just like there's no "smug giddiness" in the one s/he quotes above. It's completely bizarre.

Agreed! And anyway, neither the DCC nor NEC have anything to do with a discussion of Wootton, QO, or Crown in the first place.

NOpe that's not how it works. Before Crown is completely built, there will be a boundary study which includes all 5 clusters and the reassignments will be done in one shot.

I'm always impressed by people who can divine the race, ethnicity, immigration history, education, and income of anonymous posters on the Internet.

They're likely just projecting their own issues on this.

Feeling better about my home value in the Churchill cluster. Looks like we’re not going to be touched.

You realize MCPS is doing a district-wide boundary study, right?

Everyone could be impacted — even people in your little bubble.

No, they're not. They're doing an analysis of boundaries district-wide.

Also, the top PP is almost certainly a troll.

Yes... and Wootton areas won't be reassigned to QO or NW which are already overcrowded. As I said *IF* there is rezoning in that area, it would be areas from NW or QO rezoned to W.

When Crown gets built, W areas will get rezoned to Crown.

The point is that W won't get rezoned to QO/NW no matter which way it's sliced.

The point is that nobody knows what will happen in the boundary study.

In boundary studies, reassignments can and do happen among any of the schools in the boundary study.
