That is a far larger budget /bigger deal than Takoma Park local elections. Unless you work in Fairfax County I wouldn't move since it is more of the same. Plus FX has a school board member , Harvard JD, that voted in Alexandria while serving as an appointed school board member. Got caught and my party continued endorsing Moon for decades. Moderate classic Democrats are also adrift across the river. Both jurisdictions are hyper-focused on one demographic subset.

Palchick is not a socialist, just a mainstream liberal.

FCRS endorsements work the same way as far as I know.

I don't know many people who don't like Moon.

Not sure who you mean by classic moderate Dems. The Dems on FFX BOS are pro business, pro development as they have always been.
