Um, OK. You are still a freak. |
Complaining about parenthood gets old. Agree--own your choices and march on |
There are totally people like this on DCUM and elsewhere. "Why should anyone be inconvenienced by maternity leave policies when having a baby is a CHOICE?" "Don't complain about real estate being expensive here, you should've picked a major that pays six figures right out of college and bought a condo at 22, if you don't like it move to Cleveland." |
A 4 year old isn’t a toddler. |
At work or in general? |
+1. Also, thanks for the laugh! |
A one year and 5 month old is, which is how old the 5 month old will be next year... ![]() |
They mean next year when the 5 month old will be a toddler. |
We have maternity leave - its just not paid in less you save your annual and sick leave. Its called being an adult and being responsible. No one should have to pay you additional leave for having a child. Cancer, sure, we should help, but a child, absolutely not. I saved my leave for years so I got paid leave. |
Meh. We are working to pay your social security and taxes that support educating your brood and "retirement" that you will leech off us. |
And no, coattailing your husband into collecting social security, isn’t contributing. |
So we can't complain if we have only one, or two, or three, or five ... when can we complain? |
I find it really annoying when I mention that I'm having trouble getting DD's homework done and shuttling her to activities (I work 30 hours a week), and someone chimes in with, "well, just imagine what it would be like if you had 3 like I do." No thanks, I knew that was not for me from the outset. |
OK, Seema Verma |
Look, spotted one in the wild! |
