Is there anyone else out there who is naturally lazy?

There are meds that give you energy? What meds are these?

Well, coffee for one. But ritalin is a stimulant, also dexedrine.

Meth, coke, MDMA, khat, nicotine...

Count me in. I'm low energy. I too am go go go at work, but when I come home, I'm super tired and don't want to do anything. I also could never pull an all nighter. I get too tired. I also hate exercising, and never feel that "high" after I exercise. That concept is foreign to me. I do exercise because I know it's good for me, but I never feel great afterwards.

My kids unfortunately, inherited my low energy.

Thank goodness my DH is not low energy. He does a lot.

Bot interested in nicotine, caffeine or illegal drugs. Are there legal medications that give you energy?

Again try B-12 vitamin supplements. Vitamin D helps too, I use a light for that in the winter.

I am like you OP. I use 'legal' speed - Modafinil along with taking iron, Vit D, Vit B complex and various other vitamins.

I’m so lazy and I just don’t know how to change. I don’t like coffee. I just like lounging around. I find it exhausting to be around people and love being alone. I don’t know if it’s depression or what but I’m already taking Wellbutrin and don’t feel depressed at all. Never did. My doctor gave it to me for binge eating and laziness. Wish I wasn’t like this but I’m also so so so happy being alone and lounging. I’m not happy being around people or doing stuff.

Loved that. The sad thing is people take stimulants to be supermom and then once their bodies habituate it's a disaster.

I just have very low energy levels and have since as long as I can remember. In fact, my college roommates used to make jokes about my lying on the couch all the time. I'm able to perform fine at work, but I am absolutely drained at the end of the day. and find it hard to do any errands after work. The house is always messy because I don't have energy to tidy up during the week, and have to really psych myself up to clean on the weekends. I hate cooking because of the effort I have to put forth. Dinner for my kids usually consists of things like microwave rice, canned beans, and bagged salad. Things that seem simple for other people are just very difficult for me. When I get home all I really feel like doing are sedentary things like reading, or browsing the Internet. That being said, I do take good care of myself. I eat well, get enough sleep, exercise about 4 times a week. I have had my thyroid, iron and vitamin B levels tested and they are all normal. I really feel that it is hereditary because my mother is the same way. Are there other people out there who are just naturally extremely lazy and is there really anything that can be done about it?

HAHHAHAHAHA - look around, OP.

I know people that are smart, but lazy - one parents was one of each, and they acquired both traits. It's.....interesting.........

Do you take iron, vitamin d, and b12 in addition to a multivitamin? If so, is that dangerous?

In my mind, I'm Type A. But in reality I'm super lazy. I sit at a desk for my job all day and then take the bus home. When I get home I plop on the couch exhausted and barely want to get up to use the bathroom or make food.

You are not alone, OP. I completely relate to all of this. I’ll get a burst of energy sometimes where I’ll start an ambitious projects, but then it takes me days or weeks or months (or years!) to finish it. All of my bloodwork is fine too, and I’ve been like this for as long as I can remember. I wish I had more energy...I think I wouldn’t be so lazy then!

Me. I feel tired all the time. I've had test done and nothing pops up as wrong. I've always been like this and think it's hereditary too. Keeping on top of everything is a chore. I try my best to do a good job with my kids, but I just am so low energy all the time. I'm hoping they haven't this because it's a curse.

I loved one Trump used the term 'low energy' to describe Jeb. I was like 'omg--that's me! !! ha!

The weird thing is I am in excellent physical shape. I have always worked out 6 days per week very hard, ran marathons, lift weights, Spin, etc., but I am lazy. I tire out easily and lack motivation to organize, declutter, clean, etc. I do fine at my job, but I tend towards procrastination.

I am successful at work and always was in school, but fortunately some of that comes easily vs hard work.

Maybe you’re sick. I have hypo thyroid and an autoimmune disease. They make you very tired/low energy.
