That there are lots of Christian Ministries on campus; was that hard to follow?

Why do I have to have a point? Just pointing out that there are numerous Christian organizations at Montana State.

2 of my cousins and their BIL all went there. They're all from the PNW and very outdoorsy, which I think was the big draw. They all had good experiences and are happy in their chosen careers.

Yes, just like UVA has.

Umm, ok. You are very strange.

That is the case at every large state school across the country.

My own instinctive reaction is, “Will my nice Jewish kid find any other Jews there?”

Google’s response: Bozeman has a Reform temple and a Chabad Center.

In case there are any Muslim centers here: Bozeman also has an Islamic Center.

Some distant relatives new to the faculty at Montana State. Their Facebook pictures are amazing.

Outside of this area (maybe just this board) people just don't care that much. The kid will probably never live east of the Mississippi again

That is my only fear for my child. East coast flight is real and going to college out west definitely doesn’t keep anyone from actually wanting to be back on the east coast.

And what does this say about the East Coast. If the kid wants to leave, it's their life.

Trust me, they purposely avoided colleges in the south and NE/mid Atlantic. They are looking elsewhere for a good life even prior to college.

Why does your Jewish kid have to find other Jews there? Is he not able to be friends with kids outside of his own religion?

You are a snob and a half.

There are over 600 public 4yr colleges and over 1800 private 4yr colleges.

some good fly fishing out there. Might be good if your kid is interested in conservation biology.
