Yup. |
All of this may be true. In fact, I think it is true. And yet, it doesn't make it illegal. OP, you need to work on changing the bylaws. |
That’s funny but illegal. If he gets you on camera you could be facing major legal issues. And you know a guy who’s irritated enough to put up barbed wire is very likely to have a security system. |
Must be a republican, just kidding
|
| What county/city is this in. Most municipalities have setback laws with regard to the use of barbwaire |
....so, the highest level of stealth is required.... |
Major legal issues? I think you have an inflated idea of the penalties involved. |
| OP here. I actually don't have kids or pets. I see the barbed wire as an ugly nuisance like we live in a war zone. It's right next to the side walk and kids could easily trip and fall into it. We're also not talking about one string of barbed wire, it's curled up everywhere and there are rows of it. I get over 100 trick or treaters a year and most every house has kids, so this is a popular kid neighborhood for trick or treating. |

It won't be so easy for the homeowner to do yard maintenance, though. And the HOA almost certainly does have rules about that. |
This is where your energy should be focused. It should not be difficult to rally neighborhood support. You can push for an emergency hearing on this. You and others can pressure your HOA to take action. |
|
So ask your HOA to make a new bylaw banning it.
But it isn’t illegal to have an ugly yard. |
They won't trick or treat there. Ugly and unwelcoming but I'm guessing that's part of his point. |
Yep, R.. LOL |
