The American Veterinary Medical Association forbids its use to euthanize animals.

I'm thinking those sweet animals haven't tortured, raped, brutalized, or murdered anyone either.

It’s still not supposed to be death by torture meted out by the state. Sorry your revenge bloodlust isn’t adequately slaked.

Let us follow the example of countries like Malaysia. They make no bones about it: if you enter Malaysia as a drug dealer, you will hang and it does not matter where you are from. It seems to work there as a deterrent.

Drug users should follow.

Nitrogen execution is death by suffocation, not painless. I don't know why they did not consider carbon monoxide.

I don't understand the obsession with the substances used to execute people. We should just use a gun like everyone else instead of going all mad science.

There's nothing unusual about beheadings.

This is a really weird way to bump a six-year-old thread.

But as it happens, Alabama just used this method last week, on a prisoner who survived a botched execution using a different method a year ago.

It worked.

I have no problem with putting murderers and rapists to death.

We should make it a streamlined process.

Question for DCUM:

(Assuming capitol punishment itself is NOT prohibited as cruel and unusual )

- do you think giving the condemned prisoner Nitrogen gas is cruel and unusual? Why or why not?

How do you capitol punish somebody?

You force them to watch congressional committee meetings 24/7 for life.

Now there is a bipartisan idea we can all get behind.

You're also very sorry that his INNOCENT victim was stabbed multiple times and felt excruciating pain as she died, right? You forgot to say that. ..

All forms of state sanctioned killing is terrible. It’s barbaric. It isn’t a deterrent. It traumatizes prison staff too. My sibling worked death row in a men’s super max and became deeply against capital punishment.

Do you find all war to be state sanctioned killing?
