He won't spend the night

This is what happens when you sleep with someone you barely know.

Next time, get to know someone enough to know whether he will spend the night, before sleeping with him.

Don't listen to this bitch. Sometimes there's no way to know .

If you spend enough time with someone while fully clothed, you can learn pretty much everything you need to know before moving to an intimate relationship.

Why in the fuq don't you just ask him? Seriously, you sound very weak.

Nope. Not buying it.

Yeah, OP, I'd just ask, "Why don't you spend the night?"

If you're sure he's unmarried and the studio is not just his "affair pad", it could be something simple: He has to get up early for work, likes waking up in his bed before work, doesn't want to "inconvenience" you by staying all night not knowing that's what you want, dreads the weird discomfort of the day after (do I get up and make breakfast? expect her to cook? etc). Or as someone else said, the snoring.

Just ask, OP.

How's that working out for you?

Apparently it's not working out for OP.

I dated a guy for months who barely slept over. I think he did like 3 times the whole time we were together. Turned out he was really depressed.

I briefly dated a guy like this. It was an issue for me. No, he was not married - just hadn't been in a real relationship in like 10 years and got burned prior. Definitely had intimacy issues. He has since gotten some therapy and has been in a LTR for like 3 years.

Guy here. Could be he has trouble falling asleep next to someone, or in not his own bed. I know I'd head back after dating women for this reason. Needed a good night's sleep.

I find sleeping next to someone to be more intimate than sex. So where I'm comfortable having sex with them I'm extremely uncomfortable sleeping next to them and I never sleep well. I bail after a little cuddling after sex is over until I get really, really comfortable around someone.

Falling asleep with someone is one thing, waking up the next morning is another..he's not ready for the commitment that implies.

Five weeks isn't a long time, but if he isn't connected to someone else, I would start thinking that he is a man who likes to keep his emotional distance.

DH here. Many years ago when I was still young and much less mature, I did this kind of thing because I was living with someone. Can't imagine doing that now.
