DH lost his wedding band about 9 months after we were married. It turned up about a year or two later and I never heard anyone question in the meantime that it meant anything. He's lost it again at least a few times in the past dozen years and now I'm curious to check when I go home to see if he knows where it is right now, but it doesn't matter.

The only solution is to cut off his ring finger and tell your parents he lost the ring and the finger while protecting you from a mad dog.

Lol. Are you afraid that your parents will think that you are swingers? Secretly divorced?

Maybe take your wedding rings off too and see if your parents even notice that you and your dh aren't wearing them. I'll bet that they won't even notice.

Or that he threw it in the fires of Mordor to save the world!

FWIW, my husband doesn't wear his wedding ring because he's allergic to it apparently. He puts it on and develops an itchy red rash on his finger. It's actually a running, inside joke between us.

He doesn't wear wrist watches either for the same reason.

I guess people look at us when we're out and think "Look at that floozy married woman out with that single guy!" Lol.

Montgomery Mall has plenty of jewelry shops. You can get a new ring there. Or just order one off Amazon.

My husband's was too tight after he gained a little weight. It literally sat in our medicine cabinet for 2 years until we finally got it resized. I never go the impression that anyone noticed he wasn't wearing it. If they did they didn't mention it.

Seriously dying to understand why you need to rush out and get a wedding ring before your parents arrive. My DH doesn't even wear his all the time. My parents certainly would not notice.

This is weird in a really creepy way.

Greenan's in silver spring will set you up. Same thing happened to us and DH wanted a new ring. He found it eventually and we returned the new ring and got credit for other things at the store.

My husband didn't wear his for 25 years. I stopped wearing mine after 25 years. I don't get OP. Does a ring protect you from something ?
