They are the worst of us. They are attracted like flies to sh!t to positions where they have the facially legal authority to rough people up. They would have gladly been Hitler's most willing executioners. They are found in every PD and low/level LEO organization in the US. They are the worst of the worst of humanity and would be gladly killing vulnerables in Syria if they were there.

They are not worth one undocumented hard-working restaurant worker.

The FBI has found that white supremacists have infiltrated law enforcement:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/report-fbi-finds-white-supremacists-infiltrated-law-enforcement-agencies/ar-AAmsNqM

"Official FBI guidelines acknowledge that white supremacists and right-wing extremists have infiltrated U.S. law enforcement agencies, according to a classified 2015 counterterrorism policy guide obtained by The Intercept.

“Domestic terrorism investigations focused on militia extremists, white supremacist extremists, and sovereign citizen extremists often have identified active links to law enforcement officers,” the guide, which explains how individuals qualify for inclusion on a terrorism watchlist, ..."

However, now that Trump has stated that the FBI should no longer focus on white extremists, and Sessions has stated that the DOJ will no longer be looking at police departments for civil rights violations, you can be sure that this type of thing will only get worse.

I just need to point out, that a person arrested for the bomb threats to Jewish centers was............. a "journalist" for the Intercept.
So, I will take anything they publish with a HUGE grain of salt.

He also has a nearly decade-old DUI conviction, and "apparently a conviction from over 20 years ago related to having bought a car that he did not realize had a registration sticker on it that did not belong on the car," according to MacLean.

What's one DUI? Who cares?

Everyone who wants to live in America should be able to do so!

I really do not care about deporting illegal aliens. Get a visa like every other country requires.

Why do ICE agents want to inflict pain on otherwise law-abiding immigrant families.

The ICE agents are merely following the orders of their heartless President.

As much as I hate Trump for allowing these inhuman tactics, ICE agents have been granted new discretion, and they are misusing their power. May be it makes them feel powerful, but this is heartbreaking for normal people.

This. A lot of these agents (and Border Patrol, too) are on the low end of the totem pole - or feel they are treated that way, anyway - for law enforcement. So, Trump has given them a new sense of purpose and power and they are gulping it up. In some sense these are the equivalent of the "brownshirts". This is the army that is working for Trump.

100% troll post.

Yes it is. And yet another vicious attack on the brave men and women of law enforcement who risk their lives to protect us every day (including from drunk drivers who are responsible for taking millions of innocent lives over the years).

It's a fucking job. It makes no one above approach. They get union protection, pensions, and that is as it should be. They deserve criticism when they act like power-hungry grease stains, as here.

CBP and ICE are right up there with TSA agents in terms of who they are. #sobrave.

First you say "it's a f***ing job" as if to say, they were only doing their job (which they were) and following a law Bill Clinton himself sought out and signed!

Then you attack their character because they did their job??!?

Seek professional help; you are clearly schizophrenic (and please limit the profanity; it negatively affects Jeff's site).

How these boys (they are not "men") go home to their families and pretend to be normal humans absolutely blows my mind.

Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez, an undocumented father of four U.S.-born children, has lived in this country for more than 20 years. On Tuesday, he was dropping his daughters off at school, as he does every morning. He and his wife had already dropped off their 12-year-old daughter and were headed to drop off her 13-year-old sister next when Avelica-Gonzalez was detained by immigration officials a block from his daughter's school in Highland Park.

Um - you do realize DHS strictly adheres to all EEO laws, regs, and policies, and that many ICE employees are women, right?

You sound unhinged.

The worst part is that going after low-hanging fruit, like this father, distracts them from the labor-intensive investigations required to track down and apprehend violent illegal aliens and gang members.

The violent illegal alies don't live at a fixed address, don't register, don't pay taxes, and are not easily traced. It takes dedicated investigators to track them down.

Instead, they've been re-assigned to follow tax-paying illegals home and apprehend them in the morning.

And you're grasping at straws. The vast majority are men and I hope their families are not bearing the brunt of the psychological damage being inflicted upon these officers. It takes a special kind of monster to lay in wait for fathers and mothers.

PP here.. I did notice that, too, and found it a bit ironic, but it doesn't make this any less true. There have been other news sites that have reported on this. Intercept was just the first one I saw the other day.

I'd rather put the resources to ending violent crime than staking out school drop offs.
