Does your child take a bath every night?

Sunday through Thursday yes just because it is the routine.

Friday we skip and sometimes we skip Saturday if we get caught up somewhere.

Kids do not get dirty every day but some days they do so I prefer to plan on it rather than trying to find time to squeeze it in.
In summer we do it every other day since the pool does a decent job.

Mine do it twice a week. unless they do a sport.

It might be cultural! Parents from Asian countries tend to be more fastidious about cleanliness. American families are completely ok with small amount of dirt: don't wash hands when come home, can sit on furniture with school clothes on, etc.

EVERY NIGHT.

Good Lord. If you pee and poo every day you need to bathe every day. Hair gets washed also. Teeth brushed twice a day.

I'm shocked at the responses. I also change sheets twice a week, pillowcases daily.

My 4 year old twins in PreK every other day (due to dry skin). They get a sponge bath in the AM if no bath. My 4th grader shower every other day. Again, dry skin so doc recommended.

I figure out shower days with sports/PE days. So this season it is Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday night. Sometimes we have to do Saturday depending on our activities.

I'm AA and it is our family culture to take shoes off at the door, wash hands as soon as we come in, change out of street clothes before sitting on the bed and keeping our home clean. I did bathe my kids everyday and it dried out their skin so the doctir said to do it every other day. You shouldn't lump all American families.

You wash pillowcases daily? Do you hate the earth?

true, you're right! I'm the PP and I take my shoes off too. I was speaking generally, but of course everything is more nuanced in real life.

Yes my 3 shower every night. We do it before bed so they get into bed clean. We've done it since they were babies so they like it as a relaxation wind down time. We are not germaphobes but I do like to instill hygiene practice. All 3 are boys (one in middle school) in case it matters.

I am a bit shocked by the responses. Always thought everyone bathes their kids everyday, just like they would required kids to wash hands once they come home from school and before eating.

We have two boys (8 and 6). They walk straight to the shower the moment they set feett in the house.
