Survivor: New Millennials vs. Gen X

That 18 year old "skipped" HS to play the game. Jeez....

Not everyone has been shown, that is partly why no one has grown on you. Look at who came out of the woodwork last night.

The ratings are consistent, so far.

Dave is really growing on me but not happy about him trying to make a deal with Taylor at "the summit.". I would rather he hooked up with Adam and Zeak.

Well, the tribe shake up made things interesting, but good lord people, if you are going to go on a show like this, learn how to swim!!!

Have not read other posts yet. I will say that Ken is a doll (pun intended). Such a cutie.

+1 I like him but he's not making it far.

I can't be the only one who has realized that people of color are the first voted off on Survivor... always. It's depressing.

I noticed. Same thing with Big Brother.

The guy who looked like Obama did decently last season.
Also, CC sucked.

I swear I scream this at my TV every season. CC, man, at least she didn't quit. She just took 37 mins to doggy paddle to the platform.

And during Hell's Kitchen I always scream, "don't go on this show if you can't make beef wellington or scallops correctly!!!!"

Just like on Amazing Race, the "rules" there are - know how swim, know to drive stick, and know how to read a map (since you can't bring your own smart phone but you can ask to borrow one from someone on the street, cab driver, etc.).

True, CC didn't quit, and I can respect that. But, there have been a lot of water challenges this season, and I suspect off camera, the tribe thought, we can't afford to lose a challenge because of a non-swimmer.

I don't like the 3 tribe thing.

In a very recent season (last season?), Cydney was in the final three or four. Black female.

I think Michaela will go far this season.

And what about Jeremy the firefighter who won? Black guy.

If you're talking about women of color, yes, they're always a low-risk elimination and targeted early. Michaela's been nearly there, but she saved her tribe more than once.

I've always thought minority women (including Asian, Hispanic) were cast for their potential to be socially-awkward disruptors. They're always picking someone who's opinionated and/or overly expressive and often with nothing in common with anyone else on their tribe. I think it's something that allows stereotypes to persist in our culture.

It seems like they went in the opposite direction with CeCe, but she just had no game whatsoever. She even says that she went in focusing on establishing relationships. Come on, lady, being social IS strategy.

Remember, Sandra has won twice, and she is a minority. She had no right to win either time, she floated her way to the top and no one was smart enough to get her out.
