I think Taylor wanted to keep the fact that she wrote him that song underwraps because it would not have been such a huge hit if people knew she collaborated w/her boyfriend on it.

So she was cool about it until Calvin offended her by stating in an interview that he would likely never collaborate musically w/her.
That is what set her off.

I'm surprised since Taylor owns the rights to the song that she doesn't punish Calvin more by refusing to let Calvin release it. (Maybe she doesn't want to face the wrath of Rhianna!)
Ironically Calvin blocked his ex-girlfriend, Rita Ora for releasing a song that he had rights to.....

I think Calvin is acting out of jealousy + spite that Taylor moved on so quickly from him....He's probably humiliated & embarrassed by her public behavior.

Even though Taylor traded down w/her new man.
Calvin is younger, hotter and much more talented than Tom Who.....??!

I like her music but find her personally so annoying. She comes off as so immature, and what is with the 'squad' following her around? She acts like a middle schooler. I don't think she is as sweet and innocent as she tries to make herself appear.

She is talented, single, young, famous, rich and stunning. She has traded up with Tom H. Good for her. She is not a pathetic woman like Rihanna who gets mistreated by her boyfriends. If she does not get treated right, she drops the man. Then she makes herself richer by writing songs about them. She is not a victim and I am happy about that. She is a powerful woman who will not take shit from people. And she still believes in love.

Did you know that some people at her concert last year at Nationals Park got picked at random to see her backstage or get better seats?

Most artists don't do that type of thing, or you have to pay a lot to get backstage for a 30 second photo opp.

All of that being said, I think she has peaked in terms of albums. She reminds me of some of the artists from the 80's, one or two CD's and they are done because they started off at too young of an age. I know she has sold millions of albums, but I just don't see her being successful in the music industry for much longer.

They were friends, at least celebrity friends where they get along at events, etc. Later there was obvious beef between them. As everyone is wondering what/how/why word gets out that it is because Katy 'stole' a bunch of back up dancers. That Taylor was betrayed. Taylor came out on top in that fight. There is also a rivalry between the two for a record of the most #1s from a single album. I think Katy might have just outdone Michael Jackson or something? Ts is trying to beat it with the current album. I don't stay abreast of this bc I don't care. But it's happening.

Question is: is this a pattern? Calvin's rant tweets yesterday are implying that. She associates herself w someone -- friend/ BF. She always "wins" the battle of public favor. Burying the other person as she rises.

Tom Hiddleston would do well to plan for his future. I'd recommend he become super chill if/when it's over.

She'll be smart to move into songwriting and producing only. So she doesn't have that fall-flat album that a lot of stars used to make. It's like when most tv shows had crappy final seasons, and Seinfeld said they'd go out while they were on top. Better in the long run.

In the future, she can always set up a tour any year and still make a killing.
