Your guy friends are complete idiots. Many 30+ women are smart, independent, and oh by the way, very hot and damn good sexually because they know what they want and are comfortable finding out what their partner wants.

I'm late 30s - 37 - divorced. I find my potential pool of women is usually in the 28-35 range. I'm in good shape, have a good job and I do well for myself in the dating scene. I have one kid, and have a 60/40 split in custody. I tend to date women in their early 30s more. I don't like excess baggage but anyone younger doesn't seem to have tolerance that they're second string in my life. My daughter comes first, always.

That being said, I will casually date women in their 20s because they're attractive and like older guys generally. But if I want LTR I'll go with a women 30-35. Problem is, most in that age range that are single are looking to settle down more quickly. I'm not since I've been divorced for only two years. I'm in no hurry to settle down.

But for some guys their "dick count" it too high. I was married and find a lot of single women who are my age have had a lot of partners. That's a turn off.
