| It was a great speech and I'm glad she's in the senate - she's a great advocate for the issues she cares about. But I would prefer a different veep pick. As a woman, I honestly fear that a 2-woman ticket will be a bridge too far for some people. Of course it's not right and I absolutely do not believe that myself but the idea of doing anything that could open the door even a little bit in trump's favor terrifies me. Plus, I personally think Tom Perez would be a good pick. He's been phenomenal as labor sec'ty and unions love him (which may help in battleground rust belt states). The economy and jobs are huge issues and he's a solid person to help on that front. Plus, he's Latino tho I don't actually think that is such a huge thing - Latinos will have enough incentive to vote this year as it is with trump. |
I agree with not having a 2-woman ticket. Hillary already has such negatives that I think picking another woman or even a minority would be a bit risky. I would go for safe and boring - Tim Kaine (and I am a minority female). As an independent, Trump scares me more than any Republican and I want to minimize the chances that he gets elected. |
| I love her. I was a student of hers. She's awesome and has always just been the smartest person in the room. And good person. |
| Glad to hear it was televised! I was there and she really was on fire. Not often you see a bunch of middle aged lawyers get fired up. |
+++++ |
She is the one that lied about being an Indian, right? Seems like a trend in the democrat party. |
| Hillary and Warren are meeting privately this morning. |
Really? This shit again? When your candidate has pretended to be no less than 2 other people so he could talk about his sex life openly? |
So he could *brag* about his sex life. That's one seriously insecure dude. |
| Liz Warren, another disgusting hag like Clinton that needs to be de-elected pronto. The "Indian" can go live on the reservation and have a peyote vision quest. |
Good morning, MRA! |
Not defending Trump. Cannot stand him. But, Warren has baggage, as well. She talks about income inequality--but look at her own background. She talks about the corrupt banks--but she made money off of foreclosed homes. She talks about the cost of college, but look at what she made at Harvard--for teaching very few classes. She talks about giving everyone a fair shake--yet she claimed minority status. (Look at Harvard law faculty--I went through three or four pages of them, and they ALL had been to Ivy schools. Yet, Warren did not. Odd. She was hired there about a year after she was identified as Native American.) She's a poseur. Yes, she is entertaining, bright, and personable. And a FRAUD. |
I imagine your disgust for the two of them stems mainly from the fact that they are women? |
| Heap big warpath! |
NP but my disgust for HRC is that she is a crooked politician. My disgust for Elizabeth Warren is that she f**ks up every piece of legislation she touches. So sad that the political system has devolved to this level of men and women in charge of our country. |
