It was a great speech and I'm glad she's in the senate - she's a great advocate for the issues she cares about. But I would prefer a different veep pick. As a woman, I honestly fear that a 2-woman ticket will be a bridge too far for some people. Of course it's not right and I absolutely do not believe that myself but the idea of doing anything that could open the door even a little bit in trump's favor terrifies me. Plus, I personally think Tom Perez would be a good pick. He's been phenomenal as labor sec'ty and unions love him (which may help in battleground rust belt states). The economy and jobs are huge issues and he's a solid person to help on that front. Plus, he's Latino tho I don't actually think that is such a huge thing - Latinos will have enough incentive to vote this year as it is with trump.
I agree with not having a 2-woman ticket. Hillary already has such negatives that I think picking another woman or even a minority would be a bit risky. I would go for safe and boring - Tim Kaine (and I am a minority female). As an independent, Trump scares me more than any Republican and I want to minimize the chances that he gets elected.
