And if you look at her resume, she already had taught at some very well-respected law schools like University of Pennsylvania (ranked #7), University of Michigan(#8), University of Texas at Austin (#15), and spent a year as a Harvard visiting professor.

It was some time during the (maybe before) UPenn job that she claimed Native American status. And, plenty of professors have taught at well-respected law schools. However, Harvard seems to only have those who went to Ivies.

Elizabeth Warren got her BA degree in speech pathology at the University of Houston and earned her J.D. in 1976 from Rutgers University at Newark. Without the Indian heritage, it's difficult for her to be hired by Harvard. And she was a Republican until 1995.
