We loved Maine. Acadia, Portland, and all areas in between. Lovely place for summer or fall.

I was going to say South Dakota too! I was also surprised by Pittsburgh.

Also a South Dakota lover. Badlands National Park, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Wind and Jewel Cave...so much to do! We really enjoyed it.

Speaking of Pittsburg, we are headed there over the 4th. What are some places to see?

Salt Lake City. I had to go for work, but had time to do the zoo, see some Olympic sites, and drive out to the salt lake and see bison and other animals - incredible! Plus in and out burger

I was going to say Pittsburgh too! Went there to visit DH's relatives and had a great time exploring the city. Best kids museum I've been to.

So many hiking trails and outdoorsy things just around the city. Not to mention Park City. Loved that. Thought in and out burger was on par with mcdonalds. Not good. But found a local cafe in one of the canyons.

I went to grad school in Pittsburgh. One of the best cities in the US. Things to do:

Mount Washington incline
Phipps Conservatory
Schenley Park
Carnegie Museums (natural history, science center, art)
Warhol museum
Cathedral of Learning
Point State Park
Frick house tour
Children's museum
Zoo
