My 3rd got 111 on NNAT. We all thought he was smarter than the first two. Guess not. LOL.
Will see what COGAT shows next year. He is really sweet though.
|
| My DD got a 109 on NNAT, was in pool on COGAT and got in to AAP this year. |
I think the CogAT is given more weight because it covers more topics and the kids are a little older. |
| NNAT is kind of an insurance if Kid has an off day in a section of COGAT. Bottom line to make it to AAP, need to have good scores in 2 out of 3 - GBRS, COGAT , NNAT with GBRS being the highest weighted and NNAT relatively lower than other two. |
I am feeling the same with my DD. She scored a 119 and her brother scored a 138. She comes across much brighter than him. Although he is bright and doesn't apply himself I don't put much into the test anyways. Just found the correlation interesting

| Does the school send us the scores, or does it come in mail from the AAP central services office? |
I got it from the school. It was sent home with DC. |
| Did you get this year's score? |
| We haven't yet - 2016 first grade scores. Although looks like some folks (on this thread) already received a letter from their school. |
| Just received scores in the mail from the school. |
Did your first two get into AAP? |
Yes,last Thursday. |
| got it today. |
| Got it today. I'm glad I'm not raising a robot. |
