Weight Watchers meetings for someone who is 138lbs

Anonymous
OP didn't say she was thin. She said she was wondering about whether people who go to WW are very heavy instead of just overweight. And who knows what she looks like anyway, people carry weight completely differently. http://www.cosmopolitan.com/health-fitness/a43295/bmi-body-comparison-chart/

OP, I say you should give it a try. I have a friend who had a baby and wants to lose around 15 pounds and is doing the online WW and thinks it's working well. I bet the meetings would be helpful.

Seriously - what a bunch of miserable losers. Does it really feel that great to anonymously tell some woman that she's fat, not thin, and should go lose 30 pounds?

+1, what a train wreck of nastiness.

OP, I've been to WW meetings since I was 13 and I'm 49. There are always many people on the 15 lb weightloss track. Go!

You sound like someone who doesn't exercise.

OP, how much of that 10lbs is fat? The more I run, the bigger my thighs get - and it's definitely muscle. I also gained about 5-10lbs since I started strength training. My clothes aren't tight, and I'm definitely leaner. Fitting back into your pre-training clothes is one thing, but don't get so hung up on the scale number.

You're right. 138 on 5'2 is simply because the op is athletic. Haha.

Lol omg haha. But how many half marathons have you run?

Only two. I gave up running years ago. If I walk I stay toned. for me it's all about what I put in my mouth. I have quite a few friends who run and need to lose weight.

Dear mean person, before you cast a stone. Tell us all, how much you weigh, how tall are you, your half-marathon pace (hell, give my your 5k time) and how much your mom and her mom weighed. Tell us all how you may or may not have struggled with your weight your entire life,
It even just to lose 20lbs of baby weight. Tell us all how perfect you are in every possible aspect of your life that allows you to criticise someone's weight? You don't. Know. What. You. Are. Talking. About. Yes, this country is struggling with a crisis of unhealthy lifestyles. Yeah, the poster
Could lose ten pounds and still be healthy. But is she an example of the obesity epidemic in this country? No. Is she healthy? Yes. Does diet matter more
Than exercise in weight loss? Yes. Does everyone have the same metabolism and body type? No. Just back off of this person and answer the weight watchers question.

Sounds like they'd be better off losing you.

+1. Healthy weights for two people of the same height can be very different.

I would be rolling on the floor laughing if I heard someone who "walks" to "stay toned" told an athletic person of any size to lose weight. I would bet anything that the PP is skinny fat and has a higher body fat percentage than her running friends.

my best friend is 5'2 and her weight fluctuates between 115 and 125. she's been a weight watchers attendee for about a decade (can go for free because she's maintained her goal weight for a certain period of time.) OP as others have mentioned, you're not too thin for weight watchers.

Have you considered that you have a very distorted and unhealthy view of what "seems high?" She is within normal range. I don't think she would be unwelcome at a WW meeting and if she feels better at 128 I'm all for it, but you have issues if you think a healthy weight for a 5.2 person is a little over 100 lbs.

I prefer a European lifestyle. I walk when running errands and would rather enjoy a glass of wine after work than running. I may be skinny fat, but I'm in shape and I'm fairly thin. I think it's working for me.

I think a healthy weight would probably be 115. I guarantee you at 128 the op still has stomach flab, which means she needs to lose weight.
